St. Oswald’s Way Easy Access Short Walks GREAT WHITTINGTON
Great Whittington is a pleasant stone-built small village with a small village green. It is close to the Tyne Valley but is separated from it by the often-visited Roman frontier of Hadrian’s Wall.
The village still retains a sense of calm though and is surrounded by the attractive, rolling countryside that is typical of this part of Northumberland.
