St. Oswald’s Way Countryside Short Walks WEST THIRSTON
The attractive village of West Thirston lies across the River Coquet from Felton. The bridge that links the two settlements on a historic transport route has played a pivotal role in the development of the village.
The beautiful Coquet, which forms part of the boundary of the parish of Thirston, cuts through some pleasant and interesting farmland.
