COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

Following on from the government’s guidance on social distancing in relation to COVID-19, people should avoid travelling unless it is essential.

Who this guidance is for

This guidance is for people planning to visit second homes or holiday premises during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People must remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.

Anyone postponing their visit will find St Oswald’s Way just as welcoming and just as staggering at a later date.

Anybody with concerns over their own health, or any questions about the Coronavirus, please use the NHS website. Regular updates from the UK Government can be found here.

St. Oswald's Way is a long distance walk from Holy Island in the north of the county, through our superb countryside to Heavenfield in the south of Northumberland.

Short walks

For those of you who may not have the time though to tackle a whole section, or indeed the whole walk, we have created a variety of short walks.

Books and maps

Profits from the sale of our products will be spent on the future maintenance of St. Oswald’s Way.
