St. Oswald's Way Easy Access Short Walks
ROTHBURY

'The Capital of Coquetdale', Rothbury, is an attractive village, full of character and history, and situated on the edge of Northumberland National Park.

The surrounding countryside shows many signs of past settlement and has some excellent sites for wildlife, including the nearby Simonside Hills. These prominent landmarks, the River Coquet and the Cragside Estate make this area one of the most beautiful and popular parts of Northumberland.

Distance: 1.2 miles (2km)

This walk is available in its own folded leaflet in a set of eight which are waterproof and rip-proof, including maps, route instructions and information about the places and features found on the walks.
