St. Oswald's Way Easy Access Short Walks
BAMBURGH
Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, is one of the highlights of Northumberland. Steeped in history going back thousands of years it was once the seat of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Northumbria when Oswald was King!
This is a short route both within the village of Bamburgh and out along the beautiful coastline, exploring some of the fascinating history and some spectacular scenery.
Distance: up to 2 miles (3.2km)
