St. Oswald's Way Coastal Short Walks
WARKWORTH & AMBLE
Warkworth is a beautiful and historic village near to the mouth of the River Coquet. The magnificent castle stands high above the river overlooking what was a harbour and market town in medieval times.
The present-day port of Amble is a short way downstream and provides great views and interesting sites around a harbour and marina. This is a pleasant, contrasting walk of both countryside and coast.
