St. Oswald's Way Coastal Short Walks
WARKWORTH

Warkworth is a beautiful and historic village near to the mouth of the River Coquet. The magnificent castle stands high above the river overlooking what was a harbour and market town in medieval times.

The river also offers much to the visitor - as well as very pleasant strolls along the banks, there is also plenty of wildlife to be seen, and Warkworth's rarely crowded beach is just a short distance away.

Distance: 2 miles (3 km) or 5.5 miles (9 km)

This walk is available in its own folded leaflet in a set of eight which are waterproof and rip-proof, including maps, route instructions and information about the places and features found on the walks. They provide inexpensive and invaluable information to plan these great days out on St. Oswald's Way in Northumberland.
