BAMBURGH

Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, is one of the highlights of Northumberland. Steeped in history going back thousands of years it was once the seat of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Northumbria when Oswald was King!

The beautiful coastline around Bamburgh has helped to attract visitors from all over the world. Explore some of the fascinating history and some spectacular scenery.

Distance: 3.5 miles (6 km)

This walk is available in its own folded leaflet in a set of eight which are waterproof and rip-proof, including maps, route instructions and information about the places and features found on the walks. They provide inexpensive and invaluable information to plan these great days out on St. Oswald's Way in Northumberland.
